Printmaking with gelli plates is a fun way to obtain great results and learn about printmaking in a relaxed setting. No experience necessary!
Artist Beverly Allen will teach you how to ink the plate then to layer colours and textures. Explore the different results from stencils, plants and a variety of papers. You'll end the day with prints for binding on Sunday plus more to use at home in greeting cards, collage or for gifts.
On Sunday the most difficult decision is deciding which of the papers you printed Saturday to incorporate into two bound books (longstitch and accordian bindings) with instruction and tips from designer, bookbinder Beth Rose.
It's a weekend filled with fun, knowledge and some aha! moments as we provide tea, coffee, treats, inspiration and knowledge. Limited spaces available.
All art supplies and tools provided. Workshop in our B&B Garage Press Studio in downtown Burlington, Ontario.
$250 per person for 2 days, $150 per person for one day.
